Students sensitized about road safety rules
Students were sensitized to the issue of road safety and to spread awareness to ensure that India's roads can edge closer to becoming a completely accident-free zone.

‘The Road Safety Week’ is a national event that is celebrated from 11 January to 17 January, which is aimed at raising public awareness about traffic rules and ultimately, to reduce casualties due to road accidents. To enlighten students on road safety, driving rules and cautions, Pallavi Model School, Bowenpally organised a virtual special assembly attended by the students of class VII.
Presentations at the event showcased the importance of safety while driving. It highlighted the need for road users to wear helmets, carry proper documents, wear seat belts and refrain from using mobile phones while driving. Speaking at the event, students spoke as to how rash driving was creating safety issues on the roads. Students spoke on the importance of obeying rules while traveling on the roads and the rules for the pedestrians.
Students were sensitized to the issue of road safety and to spread awareness to ensure that India’s roads can edge closer to becoming a completely accident-free zone. Reiterating the importance of following road safety rules, teachers made the students aware and requested them to be careful while walking on the roads as accidents not only bring pain to the injured but also to their loved ones.
