Hyderabad: Countering newly appointed TPCC president A Revanth Reddy’s remarks, LB Nagar MLA D Sudhir Reddy sought to know why the former did not resign as an MLA when he joined Congress from Telugu Desam.
Revanth Reddy on Friday instructed the Congress party cadre to kill MLAs, who won elections on Congress ticket and later shifted loyalties to other parties.
Taking serious objection to these remarks, TRS MLA D Sudhir Reddy asked whether Revanth Reddy would hurl stones at Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot for welcoming BSP MLAs into Congress party.
Addressing media persons at TRS Legislative Party office here on Saturday, Sudhir Reddy said Congress party has history of 100 years and several political parties got merged with the party. “How many people will you (Revanth Reddy) stone to death?” questioned Sudhir Reddy. TRS MLA Gandra Venkataramana Reddy and MLA pilot Rohit Reddy also spoke on the occasion.
“As per the Constitution, we merged with Telangana Rashtra Samithi Legislative Party. It’s strange that Revanth Reddy, who is accused in cash for vote scam, is speaking about morals and ethics” said Sudhir Reddy pointing out that in 2014, senior congress leader Digvjiay Singh had invited TRS MLAs to join Congress party.
TRS MLA Gandra Venkataramana Reddy warned Revanth Reddy to mind his language and said he could be barred from politics for using such foul language. “Revanth Reddy should learn about Constitution from his mentor TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu” said Venkataramana Reddy.
MLA Pilot Rohit Reddy said the TPCC president should desist from indulging in cheap politics. “Revanth Reddy should not provoke youth towards violence, if not people will teach him a fitting lesson,” said Rohit Reddy.
