Hyderabad: Anchor and actor Sudheer Anand, fondly known as Sudigaali Sudheer, is steadily building his presence on the big screen. His latest project, Hylesso, was launched in a grand ceremony on Monday, September 29, marking an important milestone for both the actor and the new production house behind it.
Directed by Prasanna Kumar Kota, the film is being produced by Shiva Cherry and Ravikiran under the banner of Vajra Varahi Cinemas. This is their very first venture, Production No. 1, and it also happens to be Sudheer’s fifth outing as a hero.
Set in a rural backdrop, Hylesso introduces Shivaji, who won acclaim for his intense role in Court, as the villain. The film’s unusual title has already caught attention. “Hylesso” is a familiar phrase in village slang, giving the film a rustic identity. The logo itself carries striking detail; the shape of a ship with the letter ‘S’ designed like a woman’s leg, paired with a mysterious figure holding a weapon.
The title poster has a raw and symbolic touch. Golden-clad legs stepping on a green leaf are surrounded by fried chicken, goat heads, rice, flowers, vermilion, and a blood-stained sword: images that hint at divinity, sacrifice, and conflict. The visuals suggest that the story will be gripping and intense.
The launch event was a star-studded affair. Hero Nikhil unveiled the title, Bunny Vasu handed over the script, and directors Vashishta, Chandu Mondeti, and Meher Ramesh turned on the camera. Renowned filmmaker V V Vinayak clapped for the muhurtham shot, while Prasanna Kumar directed the first scene.
The cast includes Natasha Singh and Naksha Sharan as the leading ladies, with Kannada actress Akshara Gowda in a significant role. Motta Rajendran, Getup Srinu, and Bevara Duhita Sharanya are also part of the lineup.
The film will release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
