Supermodel Kendall Jenner turns Creative Director of FWRD
According to ‘Vogue’, Jenner will be in charge of “the look and feel of the site”.
Hyderabad: Kendall Jenner dons multiple hats with ease – she is a supermodel, reality TV star, and owner of tequila brand 818. Her latest achievement is turning the creative director of FWRD. “As a lover of fashion, and having been incredibly fortunate to work with some of the most brilliant people in this business, I’ve learned so much over the years. As @fwrd new Creative Director, I am excited to learn even more and help curate the site’s offering with emerging designers and brands! Stay tuned (sic),” she announced on Instagram, sharing a monochrome picture of her.
According to ‘Vogue’, Jenner will be in charge of “the look and feel of the site”. She will curate her own edit of designers and trends for customers to shop. As Raissa Gerona, chief brand officer of FWRD’s parent company, Revolve Group, put it in a release, “Kendall is the epitome of luxury fashion, and there isn’t a better fit for this position.”
Michael Mente, co-founder, and co-CEO of Revolve Group, echoed Gerona’s sentiment, saying, “(Jenner’s) multifaceted experience in the fashion industry and the vision she has outlined for the FWRD business has the potential to transform our business and the luxury business as a whole.”
“I think right now, what’s exciting is that people are taking command of their own style and aesthetic, mixing fashion however they choose. I’m all about combining your favourite designers with a pair of sneakers. I am also excited to see all of the new collections coming out for more inspiration,” Kendall said.
