Hyderabad: Warangal Stallions scored a comfortable, 62-38 victory against Nizam Royals in the girls under-15 category of the Telangana Junior Basketball League championship at Kotla Vijaya Bhaskara Reddy Indoor Stadium here.

Tanisa and Aishwarya, who scored 23 points each, were the lead performers for the winners.


In the boys under-15 section, Nalgonda Speed Strikers defeated Ranga Reddy Raptors 88-76.

Rishab led the charge for the winners with 28 points, while Aditya contributed 18 points. For the Raptors, Anxity scored 26 points and Aadish Reddy added 16 points.

Nalgonda Speed Strikers continued its winning run with a hard-fought 49-43 victory over Vikarabad Mambas in the girls under-18 category. Sahasra starred with 21 points, while Tejal added 12 points. For the Mambas, Avantika scored 17 points and Divyansi contributed 15 points.

The final match of the day in the Under-18 Boys category saw Vikarabad Mambas overpower Nizam Royals 97-75. Suryansh delivered one of the standout performances of the tournament, scoring an impressive 41 points, while Yeshwanth chipped in with 26 points. For Nizam Royals, Yagnesh scored 17 points, while Ram Krish, Sai and Lottith contributed 16 points each.

As the league approaches its business end, teams continue to showcase exceptional talent, determination and sportsmanship, making the inaugural edition of TJBL a resounding success. The tournament is rapidly emerging as a strong platform for identifying and nurturing the next generation of basketball stars in Telangana.
