Yadadri-Bhongir: A man and his son died and two other family members were seriously injured in a road accident on National Highway No. 65 near Panthangi toll plaza in Choutuppal mandal in Yadadri-Bhongir district on Friday.

The deceased in the road accident were identified as Dakoji Ramakrishna (45) and his elder son Dakoju Banni (10). Ramakrishna died on the spot and Banni breathed his last while being shifted to a hospital in an ambulance. Ramakrishna’s wife Lakshmi(40) and his other son Manicharan (16) received injuries in the road accident. The injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Condition of Lakshmi was said to be serious.


According to police, the road accident took place when a motor cycle on which four members of a family travelling, collided with a DCM vehicle. They met the accident while returning to their native place Lakkaram in Choutuppal mandal after visiting Sri Jadala Ramalingeshwara Swamy temple at Cheruvugattu in Nalgonda district. Choutuppal police rushed to the spot and shifted the bodies of the victims to Government hospital of Choutuppal for autopsy.
