Saidi Reddy said PCB officials should inform the elected representatives and local leaders when they plan public hearings on any industry. In addition to providing jobs to locals, the industries should extend 70 per cent of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds to gram panchayats in the area. He also urged Nagarjuna Cements to reopen ITI college run by them that will help local students to pursue job-oriented courses.
He said private companies should repair roads damaged due to plying of their trucks and lorries, besides taking up social service activities particularly related to health and education. Industries located in the area would also be helpful in making Huzurnagar an IT hub, he said.
