Karimnagar: Frequent talking over phone cost the life of a young woman. The man suspected that his wife cheating on him and killed her. After killing her, the husband, made a futile attempt to portray the murder was committed by burglars. The bizarre incident was happened in Bommanapalli village of Chigurumamidi mandal.
Commissioner of Police VB Kamalasan Reddy told newsmen here on Monday that Myadara Anil of Bommanapalli village married Pranalika of Mamidalapalli of Huzurabad mandal two months ago. While Anil was running a battery repair shop in Husnabad, Pranalika was pursuing Civil Engineering final year in Basara IIIT.
According to police, Anil began suspecting her fidelity as Pranalika was always talking over the phone. Whenever he tried to contact, she was busy talking to someone. As it was repeated a number of times, he came to believe that she was talking with her boyfriend and decided to kill her. On the day of the incident, he, as usual, went to a battery shop on his scooty and his parents went to agricultural fields. At around 12 noon, he came home on another vehicle.
While she was sleeping on the bed, he slit her throat with a knife. When she resisted, he thrashed her. To ensure her death, he also hacked her with an axe. Later, he cleaned the murder weapons and hide them along with the blood stained clothes.
When Anil’s mother came home in the evening, she found that her daughter-in-law was murdered. She informed the matter to neighbours. Knowing about the incident, police rushed to the spot and began investigation.
The CP said they managed to crack the case with the help of CCTV cameras. They examined CCTV footage in the nearby area, especially Bommanapalli to Husnabad.
It was established in the investigation that the victim did not have a boyfriend and she used to talk only with her friends.
