Dubai: In yet a case of murder on suspicion of an extramarital affair, a Gulf NRI allegedly killed his wife in daylight in Nizamabad on Monday morning.

The gruesome incident unfolded in full view of their children in their home. Muddangula Gangadhar, native of Bodhan in Nizamabad, was working in UAE and his wife Anjali along with two daughters were living in Armur town of the same district. Gangadhar was suspecting his wife, ever since she moved to Arumur citing better education facilities for their children some time ago and had filed for divorce as well. Gangadhar recently reached Nizamabad from Dubai.

He confronted Anjali alleging an extramarital affair, according to the police, and slit her throat, apart from repeatedly stabbing her in the neck despite their children’s screams. Anjali collapsed on the spot and died of her injuries before any assistance could arrive. Gangadhar attempted to flee the scene, but was chased down by locals and restrained until the police arrived.
