Suspended CISF constable held for transporting 158 kg marijuana in Hyderabad
Hyderabad Task Force and SR Nagar police arrested a suspended CISF constable for allegedly transporting 158 kg of marijuana worth Rs 79 lakh. The accused, previously booked under the NDPS Act, is suspected of continuing interstate drug trafficking activities.
Hyderabad: The Task Force, along with SR Nagar Police, arrested a suspended CISF constable for allegedly transporting 158 kg of marijuana worth around Rs 79 lakh on Tuesday night.
The suspect, identified as P Shiva Krishna (39), was nabbed near Nature Cure Hospital in SR Nagar.
According to police, Shiva Krishna had earlier been arrested in an NDPS case in 2025 and was suspended from service. Despite facing criminal proceedings, he allegedly continued supplying drugs to interstate drug peddlers across Telangana and neighbouring States.
Police seized narcotics, a car, and mobile phones from him.
The suspect and seized material were handed over to SR Nagar police for further action.
