Hyderabad: The suspense over allotment of portfolios to the three Ministers, who were inducted into the Cabinet, continues as Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy failed to meet Congress MP Rahul Gandhi yet again during his trip to New Delhi on Monday.

Taking many by surprise, the Chief Minister suddenly boarded the flight to the national capital early in the day. He met AICC general secretary KC Venugopal for about an hour in the evening and discussed a few issues, including allotment of portfolios. However, no official announcement was made in this regard.

There are speculations in Gandhi Bhavan that in addition to the allotment of portfolios to the three new Ministers, the high command could also approve reshuffling of existing portfolios.

Amidst these speculations, though the Chief Minister met the AICC general secretary, he could not meet Rahul Gandhi. He is staying back in New Delhi and is expected to meet AICC chief Mallikarjun Kharge on Tuesday. There is still no clarity over the possibilities of the Chief Minister meeting Rahul Gandhi.

Meanwhile, Chennur MLA and Minister-designate G Vivek Venkatswamy along with his family met the AICC Chief and General Secretary in New Delhi on Monday morning.

“I thanked AICC chief Mallikarjun Kharge and AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal for the cabinet berth. Irrespective of the portfolio allotted to me, I will do my best,” Vivek said to media persons. His son and Peddapalli MP Vamsi Krishna also accompanied him.
