Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has won an award in Swachh Survekshan 2021 and Garbage Free City Rating 2021. The categories will be disclosed on November 20 at an award ceremony at New Delhi when the award is to be presented to the corporation.
Besides GHMC, nine other municipalities/ municipal corporations and Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) have won the award. Sircilla Municipality, Karimnagar Municipal Corporation, Siddipet Municipality, Nizampet Municipal Corporation, Ibrahimatnam Municipality, Ghatkesar Municipality, Kosgi Municipality and Husnabad Municipality are the other winners.
Swachh Survekshan is an annual survey of cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation in cities and towns across India. Winners will be felicitated during the Swach Amrit Mahotsav event at New Delhi.
