Hyderabad: The Department of Heritage Telangana, led by Director, Prof. Arjun Rao Kuthadi, conducted a Swachhata Drive at the historic Gunfoundry Protected Monument, in association with Vedakumar, Deccan Heritage Academy Trust, and INTACH Hyderabad Chapter.
The programme had active participation from officials, heritage activists, volunteers, and members of the public with the objective of creating awareness regarding the cleanliness, preservation, and protection of heritage monuments.
The drive included cleaning activities around the monument premises and sensitization on maintaining heritage sites in a clean and sustainable manner.
Dr.P.Nagaraju, Deputy Director (Museum), explained the importance and historical significance of monuments and emphasized the responsibility of citizens in safeguarding cultural heritage for future generations.
