Siddipet: N Swetha, a 2012 batch IPS officer, took charge as Commissioner of Police, Siddipet, on Sunday. Swetha had worked as Superintendent of Police Kamareddy until recently when the government re-shuffled the IPS officers in the State.
Swetha is the first woman Commissioner of Siddipet as two men IPS officers had worked as Commissioners here. The Commissionerate was created in 2016. The new top cop was congratulated by Additional DCPs Srinivasulu, Ramchandra Rao, Subhash Chandrabose, ACPs Ramesh, Sathish and Deva Reddy.
