Hyderabad: IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu directed the officials to design the T-Square proposed at Raidurg junction, on the lines of New York’s Times Square, which will remain open round-the-clock. The area will offer a mix of business, entertainment and tourism, creating a lively experience for visitors.
The Minister reviewed the design concepts for the project, presented by multiple firms, following the tender notification issued earlier, at the State Secretariat on Thursday. He suggested that the area be illuminated with large electronic displays and vibrant digital advertisements.
Sridhar Babu also wanted the officials to accommodate space for cultural performances and live musical events to enhance the atmosphere. He recommended setting up amphitheaters and open restaurants as well, to cater to tourists and locals alike, round-the-clock. He also suggested for establishment of themed shopping malls to add more attraction.
TGISC managing director Vishnuvardhan Reddy and chief engineer K Shyam Sundar, along with other officials, attended the meeting.
