Hyderabad: The inaugural leg of the Taekwondo Premier League (TPL) Season 2 (male category) concluded on a high note in Hyderabad, with top Taekwondo athletes from different parts of the country showcasing their talent, discipline and competitive spirit.
The league featured intense competition among participating teams, including North East Heroes, Telangana Risers, Gujarat Thunders, Bengal Tigers, Delhi Warriors, Maharashtra Avengers, Haryana Hunters and Rajasthan Rebels, each showcasing exceptional skill and fighting spirit throughout the event, a press release said.
Each team displayed remarkable determination and strategy, making every bout highly competitive and engaging, further establishing the Taekwondo Premier League as a premier platform for nurturing and showcasing talent in India.
The event concluded with a grand award ceremony, where winners of Leg 1 were felicitated for their outstanding performances, marking a significant milestone in their sporting journey.
The successful execution of Leg 1 has set a strong tone for the upcoming legs of Season 2, promising more excitement and participation in the days ahead. The tournament is also a gateway to participate in similar leagues in Manali, the Philippines and other global leagues in the coming months.
Addanki Dayakar (MLC), V Hanumantharao, former member of Rajya Sabha, Madhu Sudhana Chary (MLC), Banda Prakash (MLC), along with TPL Founder Ganesh Duvvuri, Co-founder Venkata K Ganjam and Navneetha Bachu, and chairman for this season’s league, Highness Raunaq Yar Khan, 9th Nizam of the Asaf Jahi Dynasty of Hyderabad, and Telangana Risers Founder Sandeep Jain, along with top national and state-level players, were present.
