Mahindra University condemned the use, possession, or distribution of narcotics after a city-wide investigation linked students to an interstate drug racket. The University reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy, pledged support to police, and promised strengthened awareness programs on substance abuse.

2-DG was developed by the Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS), a lab of DRDO, in collaboration with Dr Reddy's Laboratories.

The drug can be added as a supplement or adjunct to the existing treatment protocols to treat moderate to severe Covid patients
