Samsung is all set to launch an affordable Galaxy F14 5G smartphone in India next week that is likely to start below Rs 15,000.

The authority told telcos to analyse the issue of call muting and one way speech and take corrective action on priority

The India smartphone market recorded more than 13 times growth in its 5G shipments from the year of its initial introduction in 2020.

The smartphone company has rolled out software updates which will enable users to use Jio's True 5G across its extensive 5G portfolio.

The 5G services were launched in Tirumala, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, and Guntur districts.

Jio also mentioned in the statement that these users need to update to the latest iPhone iOS and carrier settings. The company said it had provided Jio Welcome Offer on users' numbers to enable unlimited 5G usage.

Apple is currently working on its own 5G chip for future iPhones but it may not debut until 2025.

Qualcomm is working very closely with Reliance Jio to provide its chipset platforms for the 5G fixed wireless access and the Open RAN 5G network.

However, 5G services are available in select cities only. You will be able to use 5G only if you live in the cities where Airtel and Jio 5G services are live. 

This represents growth of over 60 per cent in a single year for operator-billed 5G service revenue, according to Juniper Research.
