Thousands of Telangana ASHA workers staged a dharna at Koti demanding a fixed monthly salary of Rs 18,000, along with PF, ESI, paid leaves, job security, and better working conditions. They warned of disrupting government healthcare initiatives if demands remain unmet.
As a part of these protests, the ASHA workers attempted ‘Chalo Secretariat’ but were foiled by the police, who took them into custody from various locations in the city
The team conducted door to door survey to identify those suffering from fever and other Covid-19 symptoms. District Collector Dr Sharath inspected the survey in Devunipally village.
