Kamareddy: As part of the Covid-19 control measures, the State government has taken up a fever survey in the Kamareddy district to find out those having the virus infection symptoms so that treatment could be given immediately and stop further spread of the virus.
On Thursday, about 1,000 teams, comprising Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHA), Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs) and staff from the Entomology wing, surveyed 25,000 households. The team conducted door to door survey to identify those suffering from fever and other Covid-19 symptoms. District Collector Dr Sharath inspected the survey in Devunipally village.
Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said that 1,000 teams are participating in the door-to-door survey and collecting details from every household. If anyone is having symptoms, we are distributing medicines to them, the Collector added. Kamareddy DMHO Dr Chandrashekhar, Municipal commissioner Devender and medical officers were also present on the occasion.
Covid ward inspected
Nizamabad District Collector Narayana Reddy on Thursday inspected Covid ward in GGH Hospital and interact with the patients. The Collector also inspected ICU, labour ward and asked the officials concerned to take measures to contain the spread of the virus. GGH in-charge superintendent Dr Harishchandra Reddy, Deputy Superintendent Dr Nimala Balraj and others were present on the occasion.
