Ahan Shetty has wrapped up shooting Border 2, calling the war film a tribute to “real stories and real courage.” Sharing images from the sets, he thanked the armed forces, co-stars and crew. The film, based on the Kargil War, features a major ensemble cast.

Diljit Dosanjh wrapped up shooting for Border 2 and treated Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, and the crew with ladoos. Directed by Anurag Singh, the war drama releases on January 23, 2026, with Diljit portraying Param Vir Chakra recipient Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon.
Suniel was a part of the 1997 war drama "Border" and now his son has been roped in for the much-awaited sequel "Border 2", co-starring Sunny Doel, Varun Dhawan, and Diljit Dosanjh.
The picture features Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, producers Bhushan Kumar, Nidhi Dutta, co-producer Shiv Chanana, Binoy Gandhi, and director Anurag Singh. While Sunny and Varun can be seen sitting atop a tank, the producers stood in front of it.
Ahan joins Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, Varun Dhawan in the film which is directed by Anurag Singh. While ‘Border’ was based on the events of Battle of Longewala, ‘Border 2’ is presumably based on the Kargil War which occurred in 1999.
In preparation for the film, Ahan, son of Bollywood star Suniel Shetty, revealed to IANS, "Over the past months, I've dedicated myself to a demanding fitness regimen, with twice-daily workouts.
The 'Dabangg' actor took to his Instagram handle and shared the poster of the film which features Ahan Shetty in an 'angry young man' look, as he poses on a motorbike.
