Desa Squadron was declared the Champion Squadron for Spring Term 2026 at the Air Force Academy, Dundigal, and received the prestigious Commandant's Banner. The award recognises overall excellence across academics, sports, drill competitions, leadership activities and military training.
Air Marshal Rahul Bhasin has taken charge as Commandant of the Air Force Academy at Dundigal, succeeding Air Marshal Praveen Keshav Vohra. A fighter pilot with over 3,500 flying hours, he previously served as Director General (Weapon Systems).
