Air Marshal Rahul Bhasin takes charge as Commandant of Air Force Academy Dundigal
Air Marshal Rahul Bhasin has taken charge as Commandant of the Air Force Academy at Dundigal, succeeding Air Marshal Praveen Keshav Vohra. A fighter pilot with over 3,500 flying hours, he previously served as Director General (Weapon Systems).

Hyderabad: Air Marshal Rahul Bhasin took over as Commandant, Air Force Academy (AFA), Dundigal, from Air Marshal Praveen Keshav Vohra.
Air Marshal Bhasin was commissioned into the Fighter Stream of the Indian Air Force in June 1990. He is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla, the Defence Services Staff College, Wellington, the College of Defence Management, Secunderabad, and the Royal College of Defence Studies, London.
The Air Officer has a rich experience of command and staff assignments and has over 3500 hours of flying experience on various fighter aircraft.
The Air Officer is a Qualified Flying Instructor and an Instrument Rating Instructor, and Examiner. He has held varied appointments in his career, including Commanding Officer of a front-line Fighter Squadron, Chief Operations Officer and Air Officer Commanding of a Fighter Airbase, Operations Staff at Command and Air Headquarters and Assistant Chief of Air Staff Operations (Space).
Prior to taking over as Commandant AFA, he served as Director General (Weapon Systems).
