Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility for strikes on US bases in Jordan, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain on Sunday, saying the attacks were retaliation for earlier US airstrikes on southern Iranian provinces.
Qatar has confirmed that some US personnel are leaving the Al Udeid Air Base due to regional tensions. Reports suggest the US is withdrawing personnel from Middle East bases as a precaution, while Iran has vowed to retaliate against any attack and warned neighbouring countries hosting US forces.
