The Telangana Police’s EAGLE team forfeited properties worth Rs 6.88 crore belonging to eight accused in a 2024 Sangareddy Alprazolam case linked to 18 deaths. Officials said the market value of the seized assets exceeds Rs 33 crore.
The DRI raided a secret Alprazolam factory in Atchuthapuram, Andhra Pradesh, seizing drugs worth over Rs 23 crore. Eight people, including the mastermind and chemists, were arrested. The consignment was reportedly intended to adulterate toddy in Telangana.
The accused - Dolluru Sailu, Ligannagari Narayana Murthy Goud and Ashok Goud, who were in the toddy business in Gummadidala, allegedly purchased the banned drug from an unidentified person
