A case was registered against the director at Maddipadu police station in Prakasam district on November 11 for allegedly posting morphed and "indecent" photographs of Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and their family members on social media. Speaking to reporters outside Varma's Jubilee Hills residence in Hyderabad, the lawyer said, "Physical presence is not necessary. With Digital India, digital policing is also here. We are ready to cooperate virtually with the investigation."
A three-month-old girl was sold by her father for Rs 70,000, and 11 people were found to have been involved in the case, said the police, adding that all the accused have been apprehended.
According to police, the driver has been identified as Md Ahmad Alishah, a resident of Nidadavole town. The liquor was transported from Kolkata to Andhra Pradesh.
