Modi cozying up to Albanese is being seen as his effort to help Adani group which is facing campaigns against its mining activities in Carmichael in Australia from climate activists
While PM Modi will arrive late evening, Albanese will land at Ahmedabad airport in the evening and head straight towards the Sabarmati Ashram in the city to pay his tributes to Mahatma Gandhi, who lived at the Ashram during India's freedom struggle.
The foreign minister said that the discussions reflected the "full spirit of our strategic partnership." Jaishankar tweeted about the meeting and stated that the two also "discussed cricket."
