Doctors at KIMS Hospital, Kondapur successfully performed a six-hour open-heart surgery on a 49-year-old woman whose aorta had collapsed, causing severe strain on her heart. Surgeons removed the swollen aorta and damaged valve, replacing them with an artificial aorta and prosthetic valve.
