At least seven people, including six women, were killed and eight others injured when a private travels bus collided with an auto-rickshaw near Adda Road in Chilakaluripet, Palnadu district, Andhra Pradesh, early Thursday.

The accident occurred when the auto-rickshaw overturned as the driver swerved to avoid a collision with an oncoming biker.

The accident took place allegedly due to the rash driving of the auto rickshaw driver, as per locals.

According to the reports the auto rickshaw was on its way from Gachibowli junction towards University of Hyderabad when the driver lost control and hit the road divider.
