A pioneering Balochi female folk singer from the Bugti tribe, Mai Subhai Bugti, was shot dead by unidentified motorcycle-borne assailants in Dera Bugti, Balochistan. Police confirmed she was the first female singer from the Bugti tribe to be targeted in such an attack.
