Telangana Medical Council (TGMC) has identified five unqualified practitioners running clinics in Hyderabad’s Amberpet and Saroornagar. These individuals, holding non-MBBS degrees, were found prescribing allopathic medicines and administering injections illegally.
The High Court on Tuesday struck down the explanation clause (b) in Rule VIII (ii) of the Telangana Medical Colleges (Admission into Post Graduate Medical Courses) Rules, 2021, as well as the corresponding clause in the AYUSH course admission rules for 2024-25. The rule governs 'local status' for candidates seeking admissions into postgraduate (PG) medical courses.
The final merit position of the applied candidates will be prepared based on the NEET UG - 2020 rank and other eligibility criteria after verification of original certificates.
