Police detained several members of the Banjara community outside the Telangana Legislative Assembly in Hyderabad after they attempted to enter the premises during a protest. The demonstrators demanded that the State government expedite installation of a grand statue of Sant Sevalal Maharaj, revered as a spiritual leader and reformer of the community.
