Charitable donors, including alumni and retired teachers, are supporting Zilla Parishad High School at M. Venkatayapalem in Khammam district by providing purified drinking water, infrastructure, and prizes for students. Their contributions have significantly improved facilities for the 175 students studying at the school.
The Supreme Court directed all states and Union Territories to ensure washroom facilities in district courts, observing that access to toilets is a basic human right. The court sought affidavits within six weeks and stressed that lack of funds cannot justify inadequate infrastructure
