"beggars"

The GHMC has initiated a rehabilitation programme targeting beggars across 30 circles in Hyderabad. The special drive, conducted at railway stations, bus stations, junctions and temple areas, identified 107 individuals.

CCTV footage was being scanned as part of the investigation. Police suspect the involvement of beggars in both the incidents.

This emerged when police spoke to a few families who were rounded up during the recent crackdown on the 'beggar mafia' in Hyderabad
