Tension prevailed at Tank Bund after Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi members protested barricading and attempted to remove iron structures installed by GHMC and police. The protesters demanded that devotees be allowed to immerse Ganesh idols at Tank Bund.
Following a recent electrocution incident, BGUS urged Ganesh pandals to follow certified electrical safety standards. The committee will deploy 160 Ganesh Action Teams and provide free electricity. Organisers are encouraged to use Swadeshi products and adhere to TGSPDCL guidelines
