Pothole-related road deaths rose 53 per cent between 2020 and 2024, claiming 9,438 lives nationwide, with Uttar Pradesh accounting for over half the fatalities, the Centre informed Parliament.
Interestingly, of the five kilometres stretch, three kilometres fall in Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka’s Madhira constituency and two kilometres in Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy’s Palair constituency
