Many Hyderabad localities include the word "tekri," meaning a small rocky hill. Although urbanisation has erased many of these natural elevations, their names continue to preserve the city's geological heritage and the historical landmarks that once stood atop these hillocks.
Kalapathar police arrested three persons for the alleged murder of a 17-year-old youth at Biryanishah Tekri in Hyderabad. The accused were apprehended near Chandrayangutta, and police seized two knives, blood-stained clothes, an Activa scooter and three mobile phones.
