BRS working president K T Rama Rao's PRO Mahesh Manikya Mudiraj was released by Bolarum police on Friday after being served a BNSS notice. He had been taken from Saifabad police station in connection with another case involving alleged obstruction of police duties.
An alleged insider connection and possible honey trap operation have emerged as key angles in the probe into the theft of firearms and ammunition from the Madras Regiment establishment in Bolarum. Investigators are examining personnel access, communications and financial transactions.
A security breach was reported at the Madras Regiment premises in Bolarum after service weapons and ammunition were found missing from a secured storage room. Police and Army authorities are investigating the theft and examining possible insider involvement.
A 40-year-old man was booked under the POCSO Act for allegedly sexually harassing his minor daughter in Bolarum, Hyderabad. The complaint was filed by the girl’s mother after the child disclosed the incident. Police have launched an investigation.
