Hyderabad has completed distribution of enumeration forms under the SIR exercise, but BLOs are struggling to collect completed forms from voters. Repeated household visits, voter unavailability, missing photographs and Bonalu festivities are slowing the process ahead of the August 3 deadline.
Electors whose names are missing from the SIR 2002 electoral roll can use their parents' or grandparents' electoral details while filling out the Enumeration Form. Booth Level Officers are available to help identify the required records and complete the process.
The Election Commission of India has enabled voters living abroad or away from their home constituency to participate in the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. Eligible electors can submit enumeration forms online or through an adult family member without being physically present.
Cyber fraudsters are sending fake SIR voter verification messages asking people to click links and share OTPs or fees. Telangana officials clarified that SIR is not happening in the State and warned citizens to ignore such messages and protect their data.
