Apparently there was a gap in creating awareness among the passengers and the technical issues regarding the last mile connectivity

Despite an increase in the population and the demand for better connectivity, there has not been a corresponding rise in the number of buses or an improvement in route planning.

Earlier RTC buses would ply to various colonies in the division. But, reportedly due to frequent traffic disruption and narrow roads, hapazard parking on roadside, street vendors, the services were stopped.

Amid threats of tough action, "no work no pay", few RTC employees have returned to work and are operating buses on some routes in the city.

Passengers travelling to and from distant areas and office-goers were the most affected.
