The Cabinet had in February 2019, approved the procedure and mechanism for asset monetisation of central public sector enterprises (CPSEs)/public sector undertakings (PSUs).
Minister of State for Finance Anurag Singh Thakur, during the Question Hour in the Rajya Sabha, said the government has a "clear and transparent" disinvestment policy.
She held a virtual meeting with secretaries of coal and petroleum & natural gas, along with the chairman and managing directors (CMDs) of 14 CPSEs belonging to these ministries, an official statement said.
