OpenAI's ChatGPT suffered a global outage on Saturday, with more than 1,500 users reporting issues on Downdetector. The disruption affected the chatbot, mobile app and API services, while OpenAI confirmed it had applied mitigation measures and was monitoring service recovery.
The issue seems to affect users across the globe as netizens from different regions are complaining online about the chatbot being unavailable, seeing error messages and experiencing difficulty in connecting to the app
When users were trying to log in to ChatGPT on Wednesday and Thursday, they saw a message that read, “Something went wrong. If this issue persists please contact us through our help center at help.openai.com (sic).”
