SCCL has reserved names for two new subsidiaries—one for renewable energy projects (SGECL) and another for international critical mineral mining (SGL). The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has approved the name reservations, marking a major global expansion step for the company.
Located in Korba district of Chhattisgarh, these two mines produce more than 100 million tonnes of coal annually, accounting for about 10 per cent of India’s total coal production.
This move is part of the ministry's effort to mitigate the environmental impact of coal combustion and promote the reuse of fly ash in various applications.
The growth in coal production reflects the heightened efficiency and a strong logistics network that is helping to ensure India's energy security and reducing the nation's reliance on imported coal.
Adani Enterprises made a final offer of 20.75 per cent revenue sharing for Gondulpara coal mine which has a geological reserves of 176.33 million tonnes
