The higher education department has announced the commencement of classroom teaching for the final year undergraduate (UG) and post graduate (PG) students, for the academic year 2020-21.

The degree, engineering and diploma colleges were reopened on November 17 after eight months of closure due to coronavirus-induced lockdown

Depending on the strength, it would be decided how the classes have to be held and in how many batches, along with all necessary safety Standard Operating Procedures.

Universities and schools across the country were ordered shut on March 16 to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus.
