A Begumpet immigration consultancy allegedly cheated job seekers from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh by promising overseas jobs and visas. More than 11 victims have approached police in the past two months, alleging losses of lakhs of rupees. Police are investigating.
Maduranagar police booked a consultancy manager for allegedly cheating a Moosapet woman of Rs 7.1 lakh by promising her an H-1B visa. The victim found the office shut on July 30 and lodged a complaint. Police are tracing the accused.
Startups including Byju's, Playco and Ynsect.com have already received funds with an undisclosed figure, the company said, adding that it will be investing heavily into startups and the real estate sector.
