The EAGLE Force caught five persons, including a policeman, for consuming ganja at a hotel in Gachibowli. Four were classmates celebrating a reunion, and one a friend. Drug tests confirmed cannabis use, and a case is registered at Gachibowli Police Station.
Telangana police arrested eight people for allegedly consuming ganja at a house in Borabanda, Hyderabad. Police said one accused procured the drug from a supplier and shared it with others. The arrests followed a tip-off.
Mohd Younus (40) and Syed Ibrahim (33), who were found consuming ganja were sentenced to two months imprisonment and sent to jail by a local court on Thursday.
