The protests turned violent as the mob marched towards the Capitol breaking down barricades outside, with some of them even reaching legislative floors.

Biden blasted the president, calling his administration's response to the pandemic "an insult to every single person suffering from Covid-19 and every family who's lost a loved one."
Trump balked at holding the debate in that format, and Biden scheduled a town hall with ABC News for that night once Trump said he would not participate.
