Iraq’s Health Ministry reported a rise in Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever cases, with 231 infections and 30 deaths in 2025. Dhi Qar province is worst affected. The WHO warns of tick-borne virus risks, especially in livestock and healthcare sectors.
