The sequel and its predecessor are based on 'The Enola Holmes Mysteries', the young adult fiction book series created by Nancy Springer.

As per Variety, Brown and Cavill will reprise their roles as Enola and Sherlock, respectively, for the upcoming sequel.

At the moment, Brown is busy with the fourth season of the popular series Stranger Things.
