The USD 50 million credit line agreement for defence projects was signed between the Finance Ministry of Maldives and the Export Import Bank of India.

"In the remaining part of FY21, we will not be raising much of bonds. But the next fiscal year, we will need to raise $2.5-3 billion," said the Exim Bank MD, David Rasquinha

With the signing of this LOC agreement, Exim Bank has now in place 266 LOCs, covering 62 countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, Commonwealth of Independent States.
